DONATIONS

 

The Non-Custodial Parents Party (Equal Parenting) is a registered political party. We have no funding other than from our own pockets and donations. Donations are used for general running expenses and for supporting candidates at election time.

 

Election Expenses.

 

At Election time, it costs approximately $1,500 for each candidate.

 

For a Senate Candidate, this cost consists of $1000.00 for the candidate’s deposit plus nominal advertising costs of say $500.00 per candidate. A minimum of two (2) Senate Candidates are required for each State or Territory (this is so that we can “run above the line” on the ballot paper).

 

For a House of Representatives candidate, this cost consists of $500 for the candidate’s deposit plus nominal printing and advertising costs of say, $1000.00 per candidate.

 

We note that a candidate’s election expenses are fully tax deductible. This is under “Deduction Type D15” (Refer Australian Tax Office TaxPack 2007 Supplement S39 and S41 “Other deductions- Election Expenses- E”.

 

Personal Donations and Gifts.

 

We are registered with the Australian Electoral Commission, as a political party.

 

In Australia, since 22 June 2006 donations and gifts are tax deductible up to an amount of $1500.00 (previously this amount was $100.00). (Ref ATO TaxPack 2007, pages 57 and 58).

Note: If you have any problems with the Account Name. This is while using Internet banking, we would suggest that you simply use NCPP(EP) or similar (some Internet banking services do not accept long account names or hyphens or dashes as an account name).

1. Internet Banking (your approximate cost is AUD $20.00 per transfer)

2. Telegraphic transfer (your approximate cost is AUD $30.00 per transfer)

3. Bank Draft in Australian dollars (your approximate cost is AUD $20.00).

4. Personal Check in your currency (note there is a AUD $50.00 bank charge to our Party here in Australia for converting foreign checks).
